Amista 2018, Ca'Liptra


Grape:
90% Montepulciano, 10% Sangiovese
Region: Cupramontana MARCHE
Drinking Window: Now or best in a year or two, drink by 2028.
Pairings: Braised beef, meatballs, pork, pasta dishes.
Winemaking Notes: Organically farmed. Cooler climate with east facing exposure - makes for lighter wine. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel with maceration of 3-4 days. Aging occurs in stainless steel tank and used 225L barriques. Amistà means friendship. 1500 bottles produced.

 
 

Ganzarello 2017, Il Coroncino


Grape:
95% Sangiovese, 5% Syrah
Region: Ancona MARCHE
Drinking Window: Ready or until 2025
Pairings: Ideal with pork, game, cured meats, medium aged cheeses or pasta with red/meat sauce.
Winemaking Notes: They do not wish to be in any 'associations' but wish to make clean, honest wines.

 
 

Rosso di Contrada 'Parrino' 2016, Marabino


Grape:
Nero d'Avolo
Region: Noto SICILIA
Drinking Window: Ready
Pairings: Grilled meats, stews, pasta with pork - even high quality burgers would be a perfect.
Winemaking Notes: Biodynamic, without herbicides, without chemical or synthetic treatments or fertilizers. North exposure with calcareous clay "terra ianca", "terra niura" and "terra crita". Native yeasts with long macerations in steel only. Fewer than 6,000 bottles produced.

Sangiovese Pettirosso 2018, Fonterenza


Grape:
Sangiovese with a small amount of Ciliegiolo
Region: Montalcino, Tuscany
Drinking Window: Ready
Pairings: Aged cheese, pork and beef. Works well throughout the whole meal.
Winemaking Notes: Manual harvest. Non filtered. Under 3,000 bottles. Unique in that it is bottled in a burgundian shaped bottle.

Barbera Vigna Lunga 2017, Rocche Viberti


Grape:
Barbera
Region: Lange, PIEMONTE
Drinking Window: Ready until 2022
Pairings: Great with salami, BBQ and aged cheeses.
Winemaking Notes: Produced in the traditional ways with respect of the grape and the land. Average age of vines is 20+ years. Aged in French oak for 12 months.

Region: Boca LOMBARDIA
Drinking Window: Now through 2026
