Winemaker Notes

"Malavoglia” comes from a typical blend of the Veneto terroir, dominated by Corvina, to which are added small percentages of Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara. The vines of these four varieties are grown on calcareous and clayey soils following organic farming practices. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest phase, ferments thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts; the must is then passed over the pomace of Amarone and Recioto, starting a second fermentation. The refinement lasts for 18 months in large capacity oak barrels.

The Story

"Malavoglia" is a Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso with traditional features, in which fruity and spicy aromas open to a sip of quality, where the tannins glide away finely on the palate, enhanced by a pleasant refreshing note that accompanies the whole experience taste. A label with which Ca' La Bionda interprets the “Ripasso” technique, using both Amarone and Recioto pomace to give body and personality to the final product.
