Winemaker Notes
This Prosecco is crafted from hand-harvested Glera grapes grown on the steep hillsides of Valdobbiadene, one of Italy’s most prestigious areas for Prosecco production. The grapes are softly pressed, and fermentation occurs in stainless steel at controlled temperatures to preserve its delicate floral and fruity aromas. Secondary fermentation follows using the Charmat method, ensuring fine, persistent bubbles and a crisp, clean finish. Expect aromas of green apple, pear, and white flowers, with a lively acidity and balanced minerality. Serve chilled at 6-8°C (43-46°F).
The Story
Valdobbiadene is the heart of Prosecco, where the steep, terraced vineyards demand manual labor, making the production of high-quality Prosecco a true craft. Francesca Rizzi, a young and innovative winemaker, inherited her family's small estate and has dedicated herself to organic farming and low-intervention winemaking. She believes that Prosecco should be an expression of terroir rather than a mass-produced sparkling wine. Her vineyards sit at high altitudes, benefiting from cool nights that enhance the wine’s freshness and complexity. Unlike large-scale Prosecco producers, Francesca focuses on small-batch production, ensuring that every bottle reflects the character of her land.
