Winemaker Notes

The Nebbiolo 2019 from De Simone is a testament to the elegance and complexity of this noble grape variety. Sourced from vineyards in the Barolo region, the grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. The wine is then aged in large oak casks for an extended period, allowing it to develop depth and complexity. On the palate, it offers flavors of red cherries, roses, and a hint of licorice, supported by firm tannins and vibrant acidity. Serve at 18°C (64°F).

The Story

Founded in 2018, De Simone is a relatively new estate in the Barolo region, but it has quickly gained recognition for its commitment to quality and authenticity. The father-son duo, Roberto and Fabio De Simone handle Nebbiolo grapes with natural fermentation methods, aiming to produce wines that are true expressions of their terroir.
