Winemaker Notes
Fauledda is crafted exclusively from the rare Arvisionadu grape, indigenous to the Goceano region of Sardegna. The vineyards are situated in Benetutti, where the unique microclimate and soil composition impart distinct characteristics to the wine. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a meticulous vinification process to preserve their aromatic profile. The resulting wine boasts a pale straw color with greenish reflections, offering delicate floral and citrus aromas. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, with a pleasant minerality. Serve chilled at 10-12°C (50-54°F).
The Story
Cantina Dessena, nestled in the heart of Sardegna's Goceano region, is a testament to the island's rich viticultural heritage. The winery is located in Benetutti, an area renowned for its rare Arvisionadu grape. This indigenous variety, scarcely found elsewhere, thrives in the unique terroir of Benetutti. The Dessena family has dedicated themselves to the revival and promotion of Arvisionadu, cultivating their vineyards with a profound respect for tradition and the environment.
