The Story
I Mandorli Winery, established in 2002 by Massimo Pasquetti, is nestled in the picturesque village of Belvedere di Suvereto in Tuscany. Initially seeking to produce high-quality olive oil, Massimo was captivated by the region's unique terroir and biodiversity. The estate spans approximately 7 hectares, with vineyards planted between 2003 and 2018, featuring Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Vermentino, and Aleatico. Embracing biodynamic farming practices, I Mandorli focuses on enriching the soil with natural microorganisms, fostering a balanced ecosystem. The winery's commitment to minimal intervention and respect for nature is evident in their wines, which authentically express the character of the land. The vineyards benefit from the influence of the nearby sea, mineral-rich soils, and Mediterranean vegetation, all contributing to the distinctiveness of their wines. The estate's underground cellar, built above the vines, allows wines to age gracefully in large barrels and terracotta amphorae, adhering to natural cycles without forced processes. This dedication to sustainable viticulture and traditional winemaking techniques has positioned I Mandorli as a notable producer in the Tuscan wine landscape.
